Episode 10: Architects before a sunset
I had heard there was something brewing in the Ordre du Bon Temps restaurant, so, obviously, I climbed up the hill to see what was up. Nearly all of the citizens of l'Ile-aux-Puces were crammed in front of the door. They seemed to be waiting for something.
-There you are, Marie! said Ti-Louis upon my arrival.
-Yeah, I'm here. But what in heaven's name are we doing outside, like this? Isn't the soirée inside?
-Yeah, but we're waitin' for som'one, specified Mathilda.
-Who? I asked
-Her! exclaimed Citrouille. Here she is!
Les Forlaqueries- When l’Acadie gets inspired by Broadway
Times change, you know! I went to see Les Forlaqueries by invitation of my adolescent daughter! I was so surprised that I couldn’t say no. Well, am I ever happy that my girl thought of inviting her mother. And I’m even happier to have said yes. By Joe, what a concert that was!
‘Cause now I’ve really seen it all…or rather heard it all. We walked right into an Acadian gospel, as real as me standing here! And that’s just one of the evening’s surprises. At some point, I swear my head was spinning. Even good things can make your head spin, you know. I went from laughing to grabbing my sides to bawling my eyes out.
